This is how we started…
As a small business we started with the idea of making gourmet jellies. Our families are in agriculture in El Salvador, where there is a lot of fruit, a lot of women who need work and a lot to do! But Ana moved, and our initial plan had to change. Our first gourmet jellies (passion fruit & champagne, pineapple-tequila…) were actually our fundraiser to buy our first materials to make jewelry! Celina was a jewelry designer. We KNEW we wanted to start a hand-labor intensive business.
We researched the market, flew to NYC, located our vendors, started cold-calling, driving places, going to small local markets, until we exhibited at the only catholic trade market in the US! It’s been a start, a ride, an experience and a blessing all around.
We still have WAYS to go! We are excited, committed and focused on continuing this adventure that God put in our hearts!
Our designs
Our designs are part of your spirituality, your devotions, your prayer life, your faith anchors, your life.
We want to be a work opportunity for underprivileged women in El Salvador, our country of origin where our apostolate has taken us to establish an experience of personal service for the poor.
Our designs will be hand-labor intensive. So, you won’t see many beautiful factory made chains, or simply imported medals attached to a ready-made piece (bracelet, or such)… most of our designs will include beading, wiring, wrapping… and even the packaging will be especially made with details of care.
We will continue to push ourselves to gain presence in the inspirational and religious market to achieve the volumes of production needed to set up off-shore manufacturing. In the meantime, our production and design will take place in California. Pray for us!
